Everyone loves to bag the brokers and the analysts, but look at what happened to Glencore off the back of one recommendation.
I don't think the accuracy is the important factor, I think the new information revealed and the sentiment is what really makes a difference.
What everyone is looking for is the magic bullet - the future to be told. Well, truth is an analyst is more skilled to interpret information but it doesn't mean it will come true.
I liken it to a Spanish person and an Italian person listening to Portuguese. They'll both understand bits and pieces and interpret it almost the same, but one will get more words right than the other and know faster. Doesn't mean either of them will get the general gist of the conversation wrong or different.
