My message here is that Murdoch's behaviour runs completely contrary to what 24TIGES has written. In contrast, Yeager has stated that in his view MAD is seriously undervalued. However, unlike Murdoch, he has not purchased stock on-market . Let's not forget that Murdoch already owned a significant parcel of shares in News Corp (Voting & Non Voting) but elected to buy more because to use his words "it was a compelling investment and I like to make money". From memory, News also had a few share buy backs - conviction that they genuinely believed the stock was undervalued. A final point, having worked for several CEOs of listed companies, the one thing I did learn is never to generalise about their behaviours and motivations. Cheers.
