Why don't they announce it on the ASX?
They are putting out signals to the market that there will be more $$mna$$ deals like this in the future, just like how they released a "special dividend" in the wake of the corona virus a few months back.
The stock price took a dive after they announced on the AFR how the CEO works 9-5 mon to fri like a public servant. Looks like AFR articles have a material impact on the stock price.
