OT @$$$$$$$ ISX probably not quite at the speccie end to be fair, being on the ASX 300 and large enough to be on the ASX 200 and all that.
For what it's worth, penny stocks have always been dangerous investments, I have concerns if anyone thinks differently. They are priced as they are for a reason. If you are trading companies with micro-caps, you have to accept there is a lot of risk that comes with the potential rewards. The stock market already comes with inherent risks, but you do not get muck riskier than trading some of the stocks mentioned here. The things you complain about are not recent developments nor are they limited to ASX listed stocks. Just being realistic, it's a risky business with some characters that have a lot of potential financial incentive to do dodgy things. Treating everything you hear with a degree of scepticism is probably a good idea if you do not do so already.
