plenty of news out there today so I,m busy reading up. Had a chat with the lolly pop lady today at my kids school, she had her car hit by a truck which didnt stop, bashed in the two side doors, looked like an elephant had head butted it for an hour or so. Smashed the whole thing up including the windows. She,s got a friend who will give her a second hand front door for $200 so she can drive it. She wont go through the insurance because its a $500 excess. I said get the insurance to do it as a complete job. She said, I just dont have $500.
Point being, here is this lady spending her mornings getting our kids safely across the road to school, and she aint got $500 to her name. Reminds one how lucky they are.
