O/T: I remember about 25yrs ago when local branch of my bastard bank upgraded its ATM machines over weekend. But there was a glitch. As I was trying to withdraw $200 it disgorged a further two twenty-dollar notes ($240.00 in total). I requested an account balance and just the original $200 showed as debited.

Well I couldn't put it back, so I just went home. I called up a few mates to tell them what had happened and they raced to the same ATM, with similar result!

Early next week the bank made a public appeal to try and recover the estimated 'several thousand dollars' dispensed from the wayward ATM machine. Not quite sure how much was returned but I was amazed how many people managed to take advantage of it!

My first exposure to viral marketing, heh heh!
