don't expect much sense from us Mexicans south of the NSW border today as it's the early edition of the silly season getting underway which includes Grand Final parades, grand Final parade holidays (incredibly!), helicopters buzzing around in the sky all day, spray tan salons packed to the footpath, suburbs to the west camouflaged in red white and blue with bulldog imagery not spared, every hotel packed with glamorous Sydneysiders looking for the harbour bridge and talking about grungy laneways, red and white imagery spilling from the streetlights and the big bruising encounter scheduled for a 2.30 kick off tommorrow.

Its exhausting to be frank, but a bit of a fairy tale if the truth be known with the Western Bulldogs from working class Footscray (fresh with some hot new talent) and with only one flag to their name some 60 years ago i think, playing out against the old South Melbourne club who became The Sydney Swans and have had some great success in recent years. David versus Goliath type battle, very exciting for this sport mad city.
