Back to a spring early twenties sunny day down south after a freezing day yesterday which mirrored the freeze on the ASX. So a bit of a thawing out day today, gold steadies, and really no one knows what direction the market is heading. You can be sure of that when this old chestnut gets pulled out by the Senior Investment Advisors

"It's interesting because the market was at a point where good news was seen as bad by the market. I think the market is driving away from that, and that's good."

Anyone as confused as I am? The reality is that most of the statements about the market are retrospectively applied, in other words they make up a story line to explain what just happened. Trouble is , we need to know what is about to happen and that is where sharpening your own skills comes into the equation.
