The media really is a stocks best friend or worst enemy.

Maybe lots of people have read what has happened, and think it is a great chance to get in to a (ex) blue chip stock at a cheap price.

Most people, myself included, have only a limited idea of the complexities behind the collapse, and as such may just be buying with a little hope.

Bottom line is this: sort out the financing issues, and the current prices will look cheap. Don't, and current prices are expensive.

It is a punt some will be willing to take, even if they just buy a small handful 'just in case'.

No one likes to miss a bargain, even if it is not yet known whether or not it is a bargain.
