Yes they have. It would be difficult to quantify this advantage without an understanding of the depth and distribution of the existing drill holes. Is this data available in the public domain, and can you provide a link? Blanche1 serves no purpose other than to demonstrate shallow horizontal stress fractures and confirm the 40C/km thermal gradient.

Progress has been made. Avoiding cross-promotion, there is one ASX-listed GEO stock that has defined a region of high heat flow, gained access to data that is within 400m of target depth, defined a productive reservoir, defined an ideal thick low thermal conductivity layer, and have extensive data regarding the permeability/porosity (flow rates) of their sediment-hosted reservoir. This is on the back of other equally well defined projects. The project economics line up, and a target depth well is to be spudded by 1Q09.
