putting things in perspective

  1. 82 Posts.
    There's been a lot of discussion on the CFR board about:

    - pump and dumps;
    - games being played; and
    - manipulation etc.

    At the same time, there's been a lot of talk about 5c+ stock prices on CFR and various other things.

    I am not disputing that some of these are possibilities or the cause of the share price.

    What I am saying is that we need to keep in perspective that world markets have been taking a hammering over the last few days. As I write, the DOW is somewhere around 200 points (might be less) down, and the NYSE, London and other markets have been showing red across the board.

    My point is simply this. For me, the fundamental reasons for why I bought this stock (at 1.3c) have not changed just yet. The market is facing fluctuations. This is having an effect on all stocks, not just CFR. Nothing about CFR has fundamentally changed since we hit 2.6c.

    At this point, while I appreciate the price of CFR may drop further from now, I am willing to hold for the following reasons:

    - The reasons for my entry into CFR have not changed;

    - I am anticipating the coming announcement and have a positive sentiment regarding that (there is lots of information and discussion regarding this already);

    - I have seen what the share price can do without any news based on speculation, so I am willing to hang on longer;

    - I do not see too many alternatives in shares in the current environment for my the money I have in CFR in a cheap speccie with good potential return at the moment; and

    - I just dislike being a part of massive marketwide sell offs where lots of people lose money :)

    I really think we would greatly benefit at the moment if we stuck to facts and had constructive discussions about CFR.

    Every day, there has been a huge amount of posts regarding how high this could go and conversely, how badly it could go. For most people looking for good information on CFR (including potential investors perhaps), credibility of our board might be questionable.

    We have some great chartists, information gatherers and analysts on here that can give us good perspectives on what's going on so it would be wonderful and useful for all of us to hear some good facts from you.

    This is JUST my personal opinion so don't take it too seriously. I just thought I would share it while I wait to fall asleep. Sorry about the long post!
