i.e. selling to create a tax loss for this FY, and immediately buying back, within the last few days of the FY.

IMO this looks likely to have happened many times with MLS in the last hour or 2, having dropped from 5.0c down to 4.3 by 10.32 and then immediately but steadily climbed back up again to 5.1 by 12.24pm.
