@Blackforest. I am with you re the outlook for the company and its future. We have made a considerable sum as well thru our personal holdings and thru our a2 holdings in our SMSF.
Not that it makes a difference but our combined holding places us in the top 40 shareholders in A2 so together with most other insto holding large parcels of A2 the reason and timing of our newly minted CEO selling at this time was appalling any way you spin it.
You would have to be disconnected from reality to think selling that amount of shares 2 months into your tenure as a CEO would not be a major concern for any shareholder, big or small.
We were only average PAYG workers who were smart with our savings and retired from the workforce over 10 years ago. Even in our position we would never consider selling that amount of a growth stock to pay tax obligations. Think about it, she has been and continues to be, on a multi million dollar salary for the best part of last two decades and she has nothing in the piggy bank to cover her short term commitments, or take a short term loan over her considerable assets she must of amassed during her working life.
I am not trying to down ramp a2 but you honestly believe with the growth she has been trumpeting this stock has got she goes and sells all the stock she could sell over any other boring blue chip stock in her portfolio ? I am neither young or from the want it now generation but I am old and wise enough to see when I see reason for concern. Look I have no insight as to why our CEO is so hard up for money that she needed to do what she did. All I know is that as a CEO or any director for that matter has to put the well-being and the interests of the shareholders first even runs contrary to her needs and this event has certainly done that.
I pray like most others that she has not done so because of having access to information that the public are not privy to as studies and history in the past have shown that directors selling down, and that is magnified when the CEO sells down stock, usually does not end well.
Call me a conspiracy theorist but the the more a CEO sells down their shareholding the uglier the historical drop the SP that follows. She sold every one she possibly could so there is a honest reason shareholders should be concerned.
I wont be selling down until the AGM so I have a clear idea what is happening behind the scenes. I hope that Jayne has sold out for the reasons she has given because if we get some unexpected bad news there will be hell to pay from all shareholders big and small.
I want to believe what my eyes tell me when I see empty shelves even after increased supply and growth in overseas markets continue to accelerate. Time will tell if all this concern was warrantied and hopefully its just a blip on A2m continued growth path.
