It looks like the shorts peaked in late October when the SP was driven down to $1.02 and hopefully since then they are on a downtrend which has allowed the SP to return to a more reasonable level. I see a small double top there in the shorts position, so hopefully this signals a continuation of the downtrend which will allow the SP to continue to rise up to $2-$3 where it belongs.
