Forgetting actual SP estimates using simple logic with the company getting on with things and producing Gold high SP could be quite rapid if we are producing close to 1 oz PT.

Whilst I think the SP estimates are a tad optimistic by about 10% due to SOI error it gives an idea of scale and possibilities for future growth and I'm sure wasn't meant to be definitive.

Some of managements goals and remuneration are tied to output which aligns with SP goals of sales, profits and SP improvement. If they hit their targets then tables like the one below come into play IMHO.
