Should'nt make simplistic comments about something when you have not spent much time reviewing . It might not suit your investment strategy, however, they have voted against the giant nanny state, something our current crop of useless pollies will do well to note.
Of the +30m who voted, approx 16m wanted to stay in the nightmare that is the EU. Now consider approx. 3 million where 'other' European citizens, no guessing which way they would vote, approx. 1 million where non European citizens who reside legally in the UK (Aussies, etc, who are enjoying their EU working holidays, etc, and again probably fair to guess they wanted to stay), 28% of people didnt bother to turn up which included 40% of Scottish voters.
For the majority in the UK/EU nothing much will change. They will still be able to travel and holiday as normal, trade will go on, etc, but maybe now their elected officials will make their own laws.
The UK are now in the same basket as Australia, New Zealand, all of Asia, etc, as an independent country with trade ties and international obligations.
I am amazed at how many people in Australia think that there is something vastly different from what the UK have voted for and what we have here? We have free trade with the USA, NZ, Malaysia, Thailand, but not freedom of movement. We have our own currency, defence force, health and education systems, borders, law and order, etc, etc.....
So why exactly are they morons?
