Who started the idea that prime ministers should stump up at tragedies and cry crocodile tears to satisfy the directionless population.
The country is structured to cope without a president and yet we copycat the USA and paint the PM as a Nero fiddling while Rome burns. He's a Prime Minister, not a the Sun God. We are nation of independent thinkers and doers, well we were until we started importing counter culture ethnics from oustandingly inferior failed societies.
And I'd rather see English Christianity survive in this country as the nation's spiritual guide rather than the barbarian knockoff that would have us brutalising unbelievers. It offers a fair umbrella for those of us who choose not to carry on with all the rituals and "where's skyfairy" hiding games.
