Morrison has by himself done more damage economically to Australia in the last couple of years than anyone or anything in our last at least half century as far as I can remember.
There have been mistakes over the years - both by Liberal and Labor governments - and, some really dumb decisions --------- Tony Abbotts playing with part pensions, Labor made some blunders with the response to the GFC - as did Morrison in response to Covid -
but, way above that - Morrison has basically ripped apart our relationship with China regarding Trade ---------------- and with absolutely NO POINT in doing the actions he did -------------- no point at all - other than to stand on some soap box and open his very silly mouth
the only thing that will show in history that might cover his stupidity is Covid - because everyone will look sad after Covid probably - so - Oz may not stand out from the crowd all that much
but, the reality is that Morrison has done probably more damage in one or two years than Covid has done
Abbott would have been better ------- so would Turnbull - and any of the Labor people.
there will be a few pivot points for Oz in the next year or 2 --
1. the new US relationship with China - how that pans out will probably have a huge bearing on Australia
2. Post Covid - what the hell the world looks like economically
3. Which may well tie in with 2 ---------- a global reset - which is just about odds on - and, how Australia will come out of that
one hopes that Morrison is on holidays in Hawaii and cannot be contacted at all when all of that is happening - so that the Lamb ad becomes prophetic and that he returns - opens the door of the plane with his grotesque beach shirt on and drink in hand and does actually say 'what did I miss?'
