The image of a sooty, tired face of a fatigued fire fighter juxtapositioned alongside the Prime Minister on the beach, sporting a sun tan, is a look which even the dimmest witted Prime Minister should have readily conjured up and promptly rejected as an option. Such fodder for the journalists and political cartoonist. Why on earth did that not dominate his thinking before taking himself a holiday????? Oh yes, he wanted to be Father Christmas to his "girls".
