He has also promised committed future resources to fixing the issues, including the making the breach of bail an offence under the Youth Justice Act. - but at this stage I dont care, because the next election is a while away and that leaves plenty of time for more officers to be injured in the line of duty

No relief is coming. The incompetence of this state governments answer was to lower the testing thresholds and shorten the recruitment timeframe.
Great less capable officers on the front line providing more work and danger for the competent ones...
