Cook’s crew might have brought venereal diseases with them to the Pacific Islands, but they certainly didn’t spread influenza, measles or polio as these diseases are not compatible with long times spent on a ship like the Endeavour.
Unless there is some evidence that Cook and his crew deliberately spread diseases this discussion is pointless.
