ALL politicians/those in elected positions should DEFAULT to being under investigation. There should be open cases on every single one of them, on both sides, where all accusations and evidence is collected and collated until something is worthy to be prosecuted on then swiftly dealt with.
Our intelligence agencies know far more, far sooner than what gets dripped to the public. If they were less concerned with upholding their political standing and more accountable to the people we would actually attract less slime to public positions.
The presumption of innocence for the actions of and difficulty in opening investigations on an elected official is why we continue to get stooged by both sides.
