The latest West article is a sobering read. Shines response offers little comfort in response.
One question West missed is ‘what finance options did Shine consider other than disbursement funding?’. I would have thought that they could have gone to the CBA/NAB and taken a loan at a rate ten times lower than the one from WFM.
I also noticed that Shine’s correspondence to West was set out in the body of an email from the Media Manager (but clearly approved at the highest levels). Maybe Shine is not trying to give West any credibility by having the response be from the MD, but I think instead it shows Shine’s flippant attitude to this sensitive (and potentially financially crippling) issue.
We will all have to wait until 13 June to see what the judge makes of it.
