@rosegarden; it would be unethical to reveal which schools I worked at and likewise with mainatining ongoing relationships with students - I'm not like that Israeli-harboured primary school principal alleged to have sexually abused her students.
Nor have I ever exerted political influence over students - in public schools that renders teachers liable for disciplinary action and deregistration! Not once in my 35 years as a teacher were complaints lodged against me!
Indeed; it's Australia's polticians who have prescribed the curriculum to be taught in Victoria's public schools - very tightly prescribed including how much time per curriculum area as well as the content - from English being compulsory for at least 300 minutes per week to the structure of the VCE and NAPLAN testing.
