The plot appears to be thickening. According to Karen Middleton (whose journalistic skills I respect greatly), boats left Sri Lanka on April 26 timed to arrive on election day, and were described to her as an "election stunt". Morrison publicising the interception may be only the tip of the iceberg of what has happened here.
