at the end of the day - the only thing that people will remember is that the boats have stopped. watso cannot recall too much of what he read last week - and even if scotty had revealed all, that would all have been forgotten . the fact that the boats have stopped, is remembered.
in another thread, somebody provided a link about shorten in some spc strike thingy - from a few years ago - one can assume, that until the matter was revealed by a newspaper, that everybody had forgotten shortens involvement .
abbott was on tv this morning - and he was being grilled by the press - and he backed the navy 100% - and he basically said that they were simply stopping the boats. watso cannot recall exactly what abbott said - but that was unimportant - what mattered was the message.
it really is an embarrassment that we have people like shy in the government - but there seem to be one or two like her, who are not in parliament
