Electric passenger vehicles in cities are a no brainer but muppet government policy is not helping. The price of vehicles cannot be forced down based on supply and demand factors alone. They will not support a local manufacturer. How easy would it have been to support Holden in going EV rather than booting them out? Labor got the local car industry going; this mob can't even take money from the most vulnerable without stuffing it up.
