if you took the medium house price on its own against income its not a total horror story. the problem is that figure just keeps growing and growing. its when you add all the other stuff on top that its stresssssssed for people. Just brining up 2-3 kids now is off the scale. its taking discretionary spending out of the system and thats the ghost in the machine. People will filter more of their income simply to pay off debt.
This is like standing at the bottom of a bouncing castle with a bike pump and discovering both your arms are broken. good luck.
