an article from 2008 that where the standard definition of mortgage stress (traditionally spending more than 1/3 of your income on home loan payments) is OUTDATED.

these rubbish surveys are a waste of time.

Paying a mortgage is a pain in the ass, so of course people will say yeah I'm stressed paying it. I truly beleive its not the home loan that is the issue it foxtel, the second car, the $200 iphone bill etc that stresses people out.

They think its the home loan because for lots of non-investors its also the savings (debit) account.
