Yes eric, I meant sentinent life.thx. I believe bacteria has already been found. From memory, nasa flew a sattelite thru a comet tail or a moon near jupiter (very foggy memory), and found bacteria in ice about 2 years ago. The question was then raised, could it have come from earths atmosphere? , and so we are none the wiser.
The excellent point has been raised, that whatever we belive now, can be stood on its head by the next major discovery, which might be next week. It goes for archeology as well as cosmo science.
