This is not an anti Muslim rant but who do our elected councilors represent?
It is a bit hard just from media reports to know the full story but how many Muslims live in Bendigo to warrant a $3 million Mosque
There has been similar protests about one being built on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland and by walking around the place you do not see a lot of Muslims in evidence
Federal politicians have to represent a much wider group and the big picture, but that does not apply to a local council who must represent the local people and their wishes because it is their money that they are being paid with, so why are councils allowing these buildings to be built ?
Are the councilors representing the demands of the larger political group that they belong to at the expense of the local person?
How can they justify the construction of a Mosque unless there are overwhelming numbers of Muslims in the area
Are the councilors approving the building so that more Muslims will flood into the area? is this a Federal or State government policy?
There are many unanswered questions and the main worry is who are the councilors representing or answering to ??
