Disingenuous as usual, JOGMEC, a semi Govt with a mandate to ensure sustainable supplies to Japanese industry, would easily fall under the tag of "Govt support" to any candid, clear thinking individual. Split hairs all you like, the intent of your original statement was plainly wrong.
Lynas will not be seeking any debt "forgiveness" simply a restructured payment schedule to reflect the delays in permitting, construction & commissioning.
If there is any substance to the importance of RE as industrial inputs prices must return to an economic level, Lynas debt would be viewed in a total different context at that point.
