skint, govt. health departments are run by doctors. 95% or more of doctors are not interested in anything other than the status quo. By allowing homoeopaths into the system is a de facto admission that all they have learnt is useless. Homoeopathy is the opposite of "conventional" medicine. It is not a complementary system.
Homoeopathy will not work with standard clinical trials. It will always fail a double blind test. But all the data is there for confident prescribing. Most of it has been there for 200 years. But "conventional" doctors usually make bad homoeopaths. They have to unlearn everything they have been taught; change totally the way they look at sick people, and the way they regard dis-ease.
Just make it available on Medicare. Let the sick person have a choice of how they use their medicare funded levy. Hey, there's not even a charge for the remedies, and we give them to you on the spot so you don't even have to go the chemist!
