but our rugby leage players are exposed to and play much more aggressively and receive a lot more bodily contact than gridiron players.
And yes, I would envisage a lot more (brain damage), if our RL players were padded up and with head gear.
I don't really know what the answer is in avoiding head injuries with these types of sports, as aggression, strength and toughness as well as skill, are just part of the "game".
