Those who know a little about Aspen in the Australian market will know they are a very smart player.

They purchased the pharmaceutical business from Sigma (who are now a wholesale and distribution pharma business, as well as a pharmacy retail store player).

Just a few of the local Aspen brands - Herron and Chemists Own.

I have dealt with Aspen (locally) and there are some very wise heads running the show and imagine this is reflected globally with those running the show. I have also experienced firsthand however that they won't necessarily attempt to break into a market for the sake of it.

Will be interesting to see what happens with Aspen/GSK/Arixtra.
