DRI which APG makes is eminently suitable for the North American steel EAF industry.
Some years ago Smorgens Steel paid INL $ 2,420,000 to dispose of 20,500 t bag house dust containing zinc dust that is generated by scrap galvanised steel fed into the steel mill furnace.
APG maintains that it can sucessfully blend this dust into the millscale feed to the fluid bed and make DRI. Furthermore it can capture a pure zinc product.
I imagine some steel producers would welcome this technology.
