Oh goodness yes it’s not being touted as a “cure” if any research is done, but I do believe it’s the first evidence in humans of an ability to force the viral particles out of macrophage hosts. Macrophages being a part of the immune system which actively engulf viral particles but from what I can work out the viral particles are remaining viable within these macrophages thus “hiding” and able to cause on going infective impact indefinitely. Routing them out of this “hiding” reservoir would appear to be a very significant step towards “curing”. Further, from what I can work out from my own research, it is proposed to be administered in conjunction with other existing treatments and so commercially ought not be seen as competitive and restrictive to other treatments (and thus perhaps even more attractive to commercialisation?).

Cure? No ... if it were that then these silly games at the cent level would be looooong gone. The impact of steps toward very significant treatment improvements though .... what’s that worth?

Imo and DYoR - advice? No, this is not advice, just my personal ramblings suiting my circumstances.
