Hydrothermal breccia occurs when a void opens due to volcanic activity. The void fills with boiling water or hydrothermal fluid (200-300 deg C) and rock etc. As the solution cools the ore minerals precipitate out across the fault. Because the ore minerals were dissolved in water, as I understand, the mineralisation should be fairly homogenous throughout.
