Doris has chosen her M day gift, Margs.
4 out of the five of us are going out for dinner on Monday night.
Unfortunately I’m not the one missing it
Luckily enough, I can see the disappointment she will encounter when faced with the reality of what a “night out” with the 4 of us.
Every family restaurant night has a Silver Lining and I’m fortunate enough to appreciate the effort that goes into a Zipperlip family restaurant night so I have learnt to embrace the “almost guaranteed train wreck”.
Okay it might not seem like a Large silver lining or perhaps it might be a slightly tarnished silver/black lining and I wouldn’t disagree, it certainly wouldn’t work for most people but it just goes to show you just how low I set the Bar for family dinner dates.
And I’m the type of pessimistic person who’s always trying to find a potential positive while trying to keep my sanity
