As an addendum to the Turkey story as I did not give it justice in order to be brief. The road at the end was no more than a bush track. We thought we'd be stranded out there. Then we came over a hill and a guy on a tractor was coming the other way. Wre shouted petrol at him. He looked blank, then we said benzine and he smiled and pointed down the hill.

And Rome is filthy considering it's first world. Other countries are as clean as they can be given the circumstances.
