And i totally get what Disco Stu means. But, it doesn't mean other forms of travel are not enlightening and educational. Sometimes unique experiences can unexpectedly occur during a guided tour. And often these tours cater for what people really need. Some just don't like the "off the beaten track experience".

Actually, i had a little chuckle with Disco Stu's India experience. My best mate and i often laugh about how people hate something at the time but after they say it was a great experience. We often use India as an example where people often get sick, hate every minute of it and then somehow forget about it when it is all over.

NOt having a go at you Disco Stu. It is just something my mate and i often laugh about with the India experience.
