The family and I have been to Bali 8 times and have not been sick, nor have we been close to death/injury. We also stay in Feralville (Kuta) so the risk is probably higher. (LOL)

Been to Phuket and Kuala Lumpur and also haven't been fearful.

250 Aussies die on W.A roads each year.

470 000 Aussies went to Bali last year...

In 2012, illness accounted for 25 per cent of deaths followed by natural deaths (22 per cent), accidental (7 per cent) and suicide (0.6 per cent). To protect the privacy of families or where deaths are still being investigated, 45 per cent of deaths were classified as "unknown" by DFAT. For example, if one person was murdered in Peru they would put this down as "unknown" because it was easily identifiable.

It amazes me how people can say that they will never ever go to X place. If they have been there and never want to go back then fair enough. You never know, you may fall in love with the place. (No offence intended).
