I'm a bit puzzled by people apparently feeling obliged to criticise the choices of others. We all have different tastes, don't we?

Yes, some people will prefer to have longer periods away and afford this by staying cheaply.

Others will prefer to have fewer holidays but travel business class and stay in good hotels.

Seems fine to me. No one needs to deride others' choices.
