The US is abusing its priveledge [and responsibility] under Bretton Woods so it's influence is waning in banking, but BRICS will have nothing to do with that and will not replace it.
Maybe banking and trade will devolve to countries trading with neighbours only, because pirates have made long voyages too risky and without "money" there will not be enough gold to facilitate payments. America is the standout survivor in that scenario but even they will suffer horrendous die off.
