Not sure about the bona-fides of this recommendation. It may be old and seems to be related to Motley Fool in the US.

I know the Motley Fool crew in Australia did a review of Aust biotech stocks a few months months ago and Biota had to be excluded because of a conflict of interest. Normally they make recommendations and disclose personal shareholding where relevant, so when I asked what was different about this conflict of interest, was told that someone there had a personal relationship with Biota, whatever that means?
