There are a number of newsletters out there. Their aim is to sell subscriptions.

Often, they have free teaser email service. Often, they will try and make out that the market is a scary place, too hard for us mums and dads to pick, too risky, better off trusting a newsletter that is smarter than you, knows the risks better and can guide you into making fantastic profits so you resubscribe.

Usually they have a try before you buy, or a reduced premium to get you going.

Do they work? Are they any good? They wouldn't have to advertise, word of mouth would be good enough.

Reports that I know of are
    Intelligent Investor
    Eureka Report
    Rivkin newsletter

    The Port Philip menagerie
    Diggers and Drillers
    Australian Small Cap Investing
plus they have a few more newsletters

D & D gets mentioned on HC from time to time, probably because it's picks align more with what hotcopperites tend to trade compared to the other newsletters. Disclaimer, I subscribe to D &D.

Try a few and see if the format and articles gel with your style of trading. Do one at a time, to stay focused. Don't forget to allow for what Mr Market is doing. A rising tide floats all stocks and a monkey can do good picks.
