I would say the market is extremely immature and the bulk follow the herd like sheep. it is subject to manipulation by the powerful and often there to suck the funds from the many to give it to the few. So the longer term view is much better and I rarely sell on the spike but you are right when the martin's of the world jump on it is for one purpose only. the short term profit and the try and use the herd to reach their target and jump out again before the heard realizes.
