If it was such a certainty, then it would already be factored in, and the price would not go up upon any successful deal(s).
Seller are nervous. Simply, they don't want to be exposed to the risk. They have fair reason to be nervous, and hopefully, buyers have an equally fair reason to be excited.
If you want the price to go up (legitimately), there has to be risk, there has to be an element of surprise, when decisions are reported.
