CZN will have a long battle ahead of it to get to a minig stage at Mt Gilmore. "Lock the gate" and "The Knitting Nannas" are two local organisations that have successfully stopped other companies progressing to mining in this area. I originally bought CZN because it was a potential mine in my local area that had prospects. I have recently sold when the share consolidation was complete. I may buy back if Lynn Lake progresses but not for Mt Gilmore.
The politics of the Clarence River basin is so sensitive that even the local council could not get a dam anywhere on the river fot water supply to local towns but had to build a storage dam away from the river and pump water to that dam from the river. The thought of using cyanide for gold extraction would lose the sitting member his seat as happened in the neighbouring electorate when drilling for gas was an issue.
Even with a liberal state government in power it is still controlled by a city green agenda.
