The historic Mount Hope Mine is the largest in the district. Discovered in 1878 and worked until 1919. It was reopened for a short period in 1942. Production amounted to 7,891t of Cu metal from 75.000t of copper at an impressive grade of 10.5% Cu. Mined to a depth of 113m. The deposit occurs on a north-south striking ridge and is adjacent to MHM ground.

Strategically positioned in the Southern Cobar Basin, the project is near notable recent discoveries including Federation (ASX: AMI) $300m market cap, Mallee Bull, Wagga Tank–Southern Nights (ASX: PEX) $75m market cap, and 40 km north of the recent Achilles discovery (ASX: AGC) $60m market cap, which significantly increased shareholder value for the company.
